I began this business because I love to do makeup. Makeup application is an art and what makes it an art is achieving the perfect look for you. It may be an occasion, a lesson, a need for correction after trauma, or a "new" look.

Professional makeup begins with consultation about what "you" want the end result to be, not the makeup artist's idea of what it should be. This requires talking and listening, a skill I believe I have after many years of work in the beauty industry. My next step of course is to bring to you some new ideas, techniques, and color selection based on my specialized training. After the consult we will know if it is a good fit and begin our work together to design a look just for you.

Makeup should be an enhancement of you looking and feeling your best, not a cover. I truly believe that everyone is beautiful and how much or how little makeup worn is a choice.

It brings me great joy and excitement preparing a bride and her bridal party for the special day, giving a teenager her first professional makeup lesson, or updating a makeup look for those who are facing the signs of aging and need help to change a former style of application. I am specially trained to help those with correction needs, burns, surgery scars, skin disorders, or any trauma that has left its mark. My work in this area is from the heart and I hope "eases the way" in an appearance-conscious society. Makeup for fun, the exotic, or trendy for special occasion or performance appearances is always a blast.

I use and recommend many brands of makeup and do not sell makeup. My lesson client will leave with a written list of what we used and placement on a facial chart, in addition to suggestions for purchasing makeup.

There is no sales pressure. The "current makeup trend" is not always your look and I would be delighted to help you discover yours.
